Salvatore Iacono

Guitars (Lead and Rhythm) Vocals

Session musician and teacher. Salvatore is the oldest, and most experienced member of the band at 25, with over 1000 gigs under his belt. He has studied a tremendous variety of music to high standards, from Classical and Reggae, to R'n'B and Funk, and Jazz and Metal. 

After first picking up the guitar at the age of six, Salva has earned numerous Diplomas from many Music Institutions, including, "Centro Professione Musica de Milano," "Conservatorio G.F.Ghedini" (Cuneo) and "Istituto Civico" in Borgo San Dalmazzo. He moved from Italy to study at the Academy of Contemporary Music, where Nice Shoes formed. This was largely because of the guitar pairing of Salvatore Iacono and Matt Manche, who quickly realized their playing styles complemented each other well. 

Salva has featured as a performer and composer in many different acts all over the world including "Richard Blackburn," "Andrea Bertolotti," "Maire Occitan," "Sarvan," "Sesto Senso" and "Goa Band" amongst many others. Salva is currently striving to achieve a degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music, with with he aims to be one of the most prominent musicians in Italy and/or Britain. 

Currently Salva, Ant, and Alessio are currently recording a Jazz Fusion album, which will be released soon!
